"Save a LlFE" Project

Mickleton has been chosen as one of 10 villages to have a Defibrillator. This will be sited on the outside of the village hall, ensuring availability at all times. The unit is to be housed in a key-coded cabinet that will have an alarm, heater and charger in to keep the defibrillator happy and safe. When the emergency number 999 is rung for an ambulance for someone having cardiac difficulties, the operator will give the code to access the defibrillator.

The unit we have chosen does not need any training to use it.

The units have been part funded with a small grant, we do however have to raise some monies to cover administration and installation costs which cannot be claimed from the funders listed below.

Any amount will be appreciated, it is expected that future funding will be needed to cover any on-going expenses for maintenance and replacement pads etc.

The Village Halls Consortium have organised training for anyone wishing to become-First Responder" and would like anyone who is interested in taking on this role or anyone wanting to familiarise themselves with the equipment to please let us know so we can book training with the North East Ambulance Trust.

Please could you make cheques payable to: "Mickleton Village Hall Association".

Please post or deliver them to:
